No more sleeping until noon. No more lounging around when we could be outside doing something, anything. We need to eat better, and exercise more. I'm really excited about it, too.
We stopped by his parents house earlier today and picked up a juicer. I just had a glass, and oh man! It is tasty!
Right now we just have fruits; oranges, strawberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, but we're going to be incorporating a lot of veggies too! Neither of us are big veggie eaters, but juicing will be an easy way to get the right amount of both fruits and veggies for us. I'm not necessarily on a diet, I just want to eat things that are healthier for me over all. And it's not just a diet change, it's a complete lifestyle change.
Just a quick update, now I'm off to the gym!
We used to juice things when I was little. Try carrots--they make wonderful juice (especially with a little celery) and apparently it's wonder-liquid too(one time my 100+ year old great grandmother had some and was outside walking up and down hills after being indoors for however long). Good luck with the new healthy habits...we're working on some of those too :)
ReplyDeleteAfter we got home from the gym I actually did have some carrot, celery and pear juice! I was so tasty!
ReplyDeleteWe've been watching a lot of food documentaries, and I just started reading book on naturalistic healing that concentrates a lot of the fact that what you put in your body is what you'll get out of it.
I'm really excited to do this, but it's going to be tough. Good luck to you too! :)
